# Padma Vibhushan: Sachin Tendulkar for his contribution in the field of Sports.

# Padma Bhushan: K. V. Kamath (Trade & Industry), Shiv Nadar(Trade & Industry), Sunita Williams(Science & Engineering), Vikram Pandit(Trade & Industry).

# Padma Shri:The Padma Shri was awarded to 71 awardees in 2008.

# Dada Sahed Phalke Award: Tapan Sinha has been selected for the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the year 2008 for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema on 21 July 2008.
